A mind-blowing 9 Days Uganda primates safari, it consists of chimpanzee trekking at gamba island on Lake Victoria, chimpanzee tracking at Kibale forest, bird watching at bigoli swamps, wildlife and launch boat cruise at queen Elizabeth national park and finally gorilla trekking safari at Bwindi impenetrable forest national parks and back to Kampala and there ceiling the 9 days primates safari.

Taking a 4×4 Safari vehicle and braving your way into the Quiet countryside of Uganda will leave you with stunning memories of the pearl of Africa on this 9 days primates safari. for 9 days, with a mix of both adventure and breathtaking activities, day by day you come close to face man’s closest relatives. The trip goes from Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary to the cool vegetation in Kibale, where you encounter, in their natural home various primates including the chimpanzees but also the colobus Monkeys, red-tailed Monkeys, Baboons and many more. Later, trekking through the dense forest of Bwindi climaxes the primates safari trip with an up close with the mountain Gorillas.

DAY 1: WELCOME TO UGANDA
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your TripCare Adventures
representative who will transfer you to your accommodation (Approximately 20mins away) in Entebbe.

DAY 2: NGAMBA ISLAND
This morning after breakfast, take the 45-minute boat trip to Ngamba Island, the home to the orphaned chimpanzees living in the protected sanctuary. On arrival, the duty caretakers will take you around the chimp home and brief you about the history of the sanctuary and how and why the chimps were transferred to this island. You will be in time for the feeding session as this gives a chance for visitors to interact with the chimpanzees. Standing on the visitor platform, you’ll also notice their unique behavior and then take pictures of them. Return to your Entebbe accommodation.

Day 3: ENTEBBE – KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, drive south west of Uganda to the town of Fort Portal and then proceed to Kibale Forest National Park (Approximately 7 – 8hours away). Lunch en-route. Arrive at Kibale forest in the evening and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

DAY 4: KIBALE NATIONAL PARK & BIGODI SWAMP
After an early breakfast, you’ll have briefing session the park officials and later set off to the rainforest on the chimpanzee tracking adventures. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the evening, we organize the Bigodi swamp walk. Bigodi Swamp is popular with many swamp endemic birds like pelicans, herons, collared analysis, bee-eater, Narina trogon, black-capped analysis, yellow spotted nicator, blue-headed sunbird, woodland warbler and more. The swamp is also a major livelihood for the local community through tourism and crafts.

DAY 5: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the largest parks and home to several species of mammals (Approximately 4 – 5hours away). Lunch and arrive in time for an evening game drive in the savannah with sights of Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, hyenas, stripped jackals, Hippopotamus, Kobs, Warthog and a variety of primates like Chimpanzee, olive baboon, red-tailed and vervet monkeys in the forests.

DAY 6: GAME DRIVE AND LAUNCH CRUISE – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, drive towards Kasenyi and visit the crater lakes, Edwards and George which has been popularly marked as the mating ground for several antelopes, particularly for the Uganda Kob. You maybe be lucky to also sight more wildlife that may include lions, buffaloes, elephants, and other animals. Head back to your lodge for lunch and then proceed on an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. Enjoy the rays of the setting sun on the launch cruise as you return back to your lodge for dinner.

DAY 7: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST PARK VIA ISHASHA
Take an early breakfast and then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest park through Ishasha sector the area famed for the tree climbing lions (Approximately 5 – 6hours away). Have a short game drive, lunch and then proceed to Bwindi via the lush green countryside. Reach Bwindi by the evening and check into your lodge for overnight and dinner.

DAY 8: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREK
After an early breakfast, head to the ranger station for briefing and by the mid-morning, start your gorilla trekking expedition in the lush forest vegetation of Bwindi National Park. It is quite strenuous and requires fitness through the long hours of anticipated gorilla tracking, sometimes taking 2-7 hours of trekking. Other sights on the trails may include monkeys, birds and several butterflies. Spend utmost one hour with the gorillas and then retire to your lodge happy to have made the trip. Return to your lodge for dinner.

DAY 9: END OF THE SAFARI (TRANSFER TO KAMPALA)
This morning after your breakfast, start the long journey back to Kampala with stops at the equator point and lunch. Reach Kampala in the early evening and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flights. This day is reserved for late evening or night flights.

7. All activities described in the itinerary; 
8. 1 chimpanzee permit per person (US$ 200); 
9. 1 gorilla permit per person (US$ 700)

EXCLUSIONS
1. International air fares 
2. Entry visa Uganda 
3. Meals that are not part of your accommodation; 
4. A porter for during the gorilla tracking (someone who carries your daypack); 
5. Personal (medical/travel) insurance; 
6. Government tax or park fees increase
7. Tips and gratuities to rangers, driver/guide, porter, hotel staff, etc.; 
8. All expenses of personal nature (e.g. drinks, laundry, optional activities, souvenirs etc.).

In case the mentioned lodges are not available during the requested period, we will do our best
to book a lodge in the same class for you (of course we will only do this after consulting you). It
is not possible to ‘reserve’ gorilla and chimpanzee permits so we will buy them only after your
booking and down payment. Permits also depend on availability.
