DAY 1: Arrival and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet your guide/driver and embark on a road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey by road typically takes around 8-9 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. We shall have a lunch: stop at a restaurant along the way and then continue our journey, enjoying the picturesque landscapes of rural Uganda. Arrive in the late evening, check into your lodge, enjoy a delicious dinner, and rest up for the next day’s adventure.
Note: We assume your flight arrives in the Morning hours since we are traveling by road. We will advise before your travel.

DAY 2: Gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi

Wake up early morning, have a quick breakfast, and head to the park headquarters with packed lunch for briefing and registration. Receive a briefing from the park rangers about the gorilla trekking experience, including safety guidelines and what to expect during the day. Embark on your gorilla tracking experience, accompanied by experienced ranger guides, porter and trackers. This Gorilla trek can go for about 30 minutes to 7 (seven) hours depending on the Mountain gorilla family location that day. Once the gorilla family is found, you will be allowed to spend up to one hour in the presence of a gorilla family. You will spend an hour observing and photographing the gorillas as they go about their daily activities, including feeding, playing, and interacting with each other.
Later in the evening: after your unforgettable encounter with the gorillas, return to your lodge Relax at your lodge or may opt for a Batwa Experience which costs $40 per person

DAY 3: Departure 
Wake up to an early delicious breakfast at your lodge, soaking in the natural beauty of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After check out of your lodge and begin the journey back to Entebbe or your next destination with a stopover for lunch at a restaurant along the way. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon or early evening, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Depending on your flight schedule, we will advise on how to spend this day before the trip is booked.

  • 1 Gorilla Permit Per Person (US$800)
  • Accommodation before or after the trip
  • All expenses of personal nature (e.g. International air fares)
  • Entry visa Uganda
  • Protective gears like garden gloves, rain court etc.
  • Meals that are not part of your accommodation;
  • A porter for during the gorilla tracking (someone who carries your daypack);
  • Personal (medical/travel) insurance;
  • Government tax or park fees increase;
  • Tips and gratuities to rangers, driver/drinks, laundry, optional activities, souvenirs etc.
  • PLEASE NOTE:
  • In case the mentioned lodge is not available during the requested period, we will do our best to book a lodge in the same class for you (of course we will only do this after consulting you). It is not possible to ‘reserve’ gorilla permits so we will buy them only after your booking and down payment or can them through Uganda Wildlife Authority. Permits also depend on availability Permits.
